Network Coverage by Region in Morocco
Updated: October 2026
Morocco is divided into twelve administrative regions. Mobile connectivity varies substantially from the densely urbanised Atlantic coast to the sparsely populated interior and southern provinces. The table below summarises the dominant network technologies available in each region.
Coverage by Region
| Region | Dominant technology | 4G availability |
|---|---|---|
| Casablanca-Settat | 4G LTE / LTE-A |
97%
|
| Rabat-Sale-Kenitra | 4G LTE / LTE-A |
95%
|
| Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima | 4G LTE |
90%
|
| Fez-Meknes | 4G LTE |
88%
|
| Marrakech-Safi | 4G LTE |
87%
|
| Souss-Massa | 4G LTE / 3G |
82%
|
| Oriental | 3G / 4G LTE |
72%
|
| Beni Mellal-Khenifra | 3G / 4G LTE |
70%
|
| Draa-Tafilalet | 2G / 3G |
55%
|
| Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra | 2G / 3G |
50%
|
| Guelmim-Oued Noun | 2G / 3G |
48%
|
| Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab | 2G / 3G |

Percentages reflect the estimated share of each region's population that can access a 4G signal. Territorial coverage by area is considerably lower in the southern and eastern provinces, where vast stretches of desert lie between inhabited settlements.
Airport Connectivity
All of Morocco's international airports provide 4G LTE service from the three carriers. The table below lists the principal gateways and the technology tier available inside terminal buildings and surrounding access roads.
| Airport | IATA code | Network level |
|---|---|---|
| Mohammed V (Casablanca) | CMN | 4G LTE-A |
| Marrakech-Menara | RAK | 4G LTE |
| Tangier Ibn Battuta | TNG | 4G LTE |
| Fez-Saiss | FEZ | 4G LTE |
| Agadir Al Massira | AGA | 4G LTE |
| Rabat-Sale | RBA | 4G LTE |
| Oujda Angads | OUD | 4G LTE |
| Nador International | NDR | 4G LTE |
| Essaouira-Mogador | ESU | 3G / 4G |
| Laayoune Hassan I | EUN | 3G / 4G |
| Dakhla | VIL | 3G |
Highway and Road Coverage
Morocco's tolled motorway network (autoroutes) benefits from continuous 4G service along its entire length. The key routes and their connectivity status are outlined below.
| Route | Corridor | Network level |
|---|---|---|
| A1 | Rabat — Tangier | 4G LTE along full stretch |
| A2 | Rabat — Fez — Oujda | 4G LTE; occasional 3G east of Taza |
| A3 | Casablanca — Rabat | 4G LTE-A throughout |
| A5 | Casablanca — Safi (via El Jadida) | 4G LTE along full stretch |
| A7 | Casablanca — Marrakech | 4G LTE along full stretch |
| N1 | Agadir — Laayoune — Dakhla | 3G in populated zones; 2G between towns |
| N8 | Marrakech — Ouarzazate (Tizi n'Tichka) | 3G at the pass; 2G in remote sections |
| N13 | Meknes — Er-Rachidia — Merzouga | 3G in towns; 2G / no signal between oases |
Travellers heading into the Atlas Mountains, the Draa Valley, or the Saharan fringes should expect patchy data connections between settlements. Voice service (2G) is generally available wherever there is a village within range, but data speeds may drop to EDGE or GPRS.
